Family and social relations are the main subject of Titus Cura's paintings. he artist values relationships as a fundamental ingredient of life, thus the passion of doing these subjects on canvas. Inspired by cubists like George Braque, Paul Klee, and Vicente Manansala, the artist dissects his objects into overlapping geometrical shapes leaving the viewer grasping for recognizable shapes and meanings. Working with Acrylic on canvas, he uses the rich tones of primary and secondary colors that acrylic paint provides to give his paintings a strong physical presence.
Though a product of the UST College of Fine Arts, the artist started his family life during his senior year in college prompting him to seek for a regular job to sustain his family, creating a respite from practicing his art, He landed in a sales and marketing career until his retirement in 2016, where the artist went back to his first love.
