Collection: Steampunk Festival

In a world of brass lungs and ticking hearts, the Philippines Steampunk Festival 2025 dares to ask — what if memory was made of metal, and history ran on steam?

Here, the past is neither buried nor static. It breathes anew through cogs, rivets, and flame-forged dreams. The artists in this exhibition are not mere craftsmen — they are alchemists of time, bending iron and imagination to sculpt and paint alternate chronicles. Machines whisper, copper sings, and forgotten revolutions stir beneath lacquered patina and coiled wire.

This is steampunk as resistance — against silence, against forgetting. In the rust and polish, colonial echoes are refashioned into mechanical myths. Heroism is not only remembered, it is re-engineered — wrapped in armor of invention and wings of painted and  welded light. The works speak of industry not as progress alone, but as poetry, as ritual, as an act of reclamation. Each piece stands as a relic from a future that never came, yet somehow always was. These are the visions of a nation that welds its sorrow and pride into form — fiercely, beautifully, defiantly.

The Philippines does not simply adopt steampunk. It forges it in its own fire. This exhibit is testament to that — a chronicle of artists who do not ask permission to imagine, only metal and space to remember differently.
