Salvador M. Convocar is a renowned Filipino artist known for his distinct mixed media works. With a professional career spanning over four decades, he has exhibited extensively in the Philippines and internationally across the United States, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Brazil.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Convocar devoted nearly 30 years to art education, teaching Design, Illustration, Typography, Painting, and Cartooning in institutions such as the University of the East, St. Scholastica’s College, Far Eastern University (FEU), and the College of St. Benilde–De La Salle. As a mentor, he helped mold hundreds of students into successful artists.


Salvador Convocar continues to be an influential figure in Philippine contemporary art through his innovative mixed media approach and his dedication to nurturing future generations of Filipino artists.

Salvador M. Convocar is a renowned Filipino artist known for his distinct mixed media works. With a professional career spanning over four decades, he has exhibited extensively in the Philippines and internationally across the United States, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Brazil.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Convocar devoted nearly 30 years to art education, teaching Design, Illustration, Typography, Painting, and Cartooning in institutions such as the University of the East, St. Scholastica’s College, Far Eastern University (FEU), and the College of St. Benilde–De La Salle. As a mentor, he helped mold hundreds of students into successful artists.

He has held key leadership roles in the local art scene, including:

  • President, Saturday Group of Artists (2002–2007, 2010–2013)

  • President, Art Association of the Philippines (2008–2010)

  • Vice President, Philippine Guild of Watercolorists (2019–2020)

  • Chairman, Philippine Pastel Artists (2016–2021)
