Collection: Reynan Dingal
Art runs in the blood of Reynan Dingal, his grandfather paints, sculpts and does crafts but like many young Filipinos, talent had to sleep while he finished his studies and eventually passed the nursing licensure exams in 2008. An invitation from Cousin John Dinglasa to an art exhibit at a local mall woke the dormant dream. Ultimately, he realized that the long demanding hours of a nurse’s life and the focus needed to pursue his art just could not work together, one had to give. Although he explores and experiments, with works that run the gamut from traditional realism to non-objective abstraction, most of his works reflect a strong Impressionist influence. Gifted with determination and the knowledge that the challenges afforded by art competitions are a great motivator toward improving one’s art, Dingal has joined many art competitions, among them the International Watercolor Society (President’s Choice Award) and the Eagle Eye Charity USA (People’s Choice Award).
