Artistry flows naturally through Reynan Dingal, inspired by a grandfather who painted, sculpted, and crafted. Like many young Filipinos, however, he set his talent aside to complete his studies and successfully passed the nursing licensure exams in 2008.

His passion for art was rekindled after an invitation from cousin John Dinglasa to attend an exhibition at a local mall. Eventually, Dingal realized that the demanding hours of nursing conflicted with the focus required to pursue art seriously—one path had to give way.

Though he continues to explore styles ranging from traditional realism to non-objective abstraction, much of his work reveals a strong Impressionist influence. Driven and competitive, he has participated in numerous art competitions, earning recognition from organizations such as the International Watercolor Society (President’s Choice Award) and Eagle Eye Charity USA (People’s Choice Award).
