Romer "Pio" D. Kagayutan (b. 1984) is a distinguished Filipino visual artist hailing from the historic town of Pagsanjan, Laguna. Currently based in Pangil, Kagayutan has established himself as a formidable force in the Philippine contemporary art scene, particularly recognized for his technical mastery and consistent success in prestigious national competitions.

Kagayutan’s foundation in the visual arts began with his studies in Arts and Graphics Design at the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Manila. This academic background, combined with a versatile skill set that spans fine art painting to large-scale public murals, has allowed him to develop a unique aesthetic that resonates with both local communities and national critics. He is an active member of the Panguilikha Artist Guild, where he contributes to the vibrant artistic landscape of Laguna.

A Legacy of Excellence

The year 2020 marked a milestone in Kagayutan’s career, as he secured back-to-back championships in two of the country’s most competitive platforms: the 1st Robinsons Land ARTablado National Painting Competition and the 4th Tarlac National Painting Competition. These victories solidified his reputation as a master of his craft.

His competitive history is extensive, reflecting decades of dedication:
