Product Description

Eleazar Abraham "Abe" L. Orobia is a Filipino artist whose recent works explore the symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature through scenic, material-based paintings. His earlier pieces dissected human experiences and perspectives.

Orobia has held notable solo exhibitions, including Images of Our Nation at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Gallery (2021), Unconquerable (Turn! Turn! Turn!) at the Pinto Art Museum (2023), and Spirit of the Wild at World Art Dubai (2025).

Beyond his artistic practice, Orobia is an educator, curator, and cultural advocate. He was named a TOYM (The Outstanding Young Men) Honoree for Education, Arts, and Culture in 2021. He teaches at the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde under the Fine Arts: Culture-Based Arts Program and previously lectured at the University of Santo Tomas (2008–2012). He has conducted workshops at the Ayala Museum since 2013 and has led various initiatives, including art workshops for indigenous youth across the Philippines and major public art projects such as the Basi Revolt bas-relief mural in Ilocos Sur and a reinterpretation of the Bahay Nakpil-Bautista in 2017.

His recognitions include the Araw ng Makati Award (1991), the Parangal ng Bayan at Malacañang Palace (1995), and the Bisig ng Kabataan Outstanding Filipino Achievers for Arts and Culture Award (1999).
