Melissa Chia is contemporary acrylic artist who combines the comforting presence of florals with the ever-shifting human emotions expressed through color and lines: A "Beautiful Chaos" as she once mused of her work. Working with acrylic on canvas, Melissa creates an ebullient experience through her unique combination of hue, nature, and lines, reflecting her own personal philosophies of life and the human condition.

Born and based in Manila, Melissa developed her latent artistic ability during the pandemic era- a time when darkness seemed to have enveloped the world and humanity faced a most challenging time. Out of the gloom sprung inspiration and hope, drawing inspiration from Gustav Klimt and combining it with her favored blooms. This style was further developed into the creations we see now.
