Product Description

Xyza Alvarez is an artist currently residing in Lagundi, Morong, Rizal. She developed a strong interest in art after observing her husband, a well-known artist in Morong, Rizal and Grand prize winner of the 2017 GSIS National Art Competition.

While she is helping her husband in the studio as an apprentice, she is encouraged by him to start making her own art, which drives her to learn everything about it. Being an apprentice for seven years makes it easy for her to do her own craft and style in her art.

During the pandemic, she spent a lot of time creating artworks as part of her training, eventually discovering her own style. Using acrylic paint as her medium, she paints retrospective views of landscapes using contemporary techniques. Her artwork features vibrant hues and astonishing color combinations that evoke as sense of pleasure in viewers. In 2022, she was invited to judge a painting contest in Cainta, Rizal. This experience made her realize that creating art might be one of her life's missions and a calling from God.
