Christian Regis

Christian Regis, the esteemed Filipino visual artist, has emerged as a magnetic presence in the art world, captivating the admiration of art enthusiasts both locally and internationally.

Regis distinguishes himself through his singular interpretation of Manila's historical landmarks, streets, and structures.

For Regis, the essence of his art is found in his extraordinary ability to capture the dynamic interplay of light and color within the scenes he portrays. In a world often accustomed to mundane depictions of daily life, Regis animates these seemingly ordinary moments with vibrant bursts of color in his oil and acrylic compositions. His work transforms the struggles of daily existence into profoundly meaningful experiences, offering a refreshing counterpoint to the weighty conceptualism frequently associated with contemporary art.

Over the years, Regis has meticulously refined his artistic technique, evolving from the swift brushstrokes reminiscent of traditional Mabini art to a contemporary methodology uniquely his own. His art resonates with a universal appeal, connecting with both older and younger generations of Filipinos, whether they reside within the Philippines or abroad, all of whom seek a deep and authentic connection to the unmistakable "Manila vibe."

His artistic journey has been celebrated in numerous solo exhibitions, such as "Lights and Silhouettes" at New World Makati, "Abstraktika" at the Ayala Museum, and "Colorful World of Regis" in the United States. In addition to these solo ventures, he actively participates in group exhibitions and solo showcases throughout Manila. Presently, Regis is engaged in a residency program set in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Italy.
