Product Description

“Echoes of the Mind” reflects the ever-present flow of thoughts, fears, and emotions, as they reverberate through the mind like distant echoes. These thoughts emerge, one after another, sometimes overwhelming the senses. As the noise of the mind intensifies, the focus shifts to a quieter, more intuitive place—the heart. It’s here that we are called to Follow the Feeling, the inspiration for this piece, allowing instinct and emotion to guide us through the noise. The piece embodies the  tension between mental clutter and the subtle strength of the heart, encouraging us to trust the inner voice that quietly leads the way, even in the face of uncertainty.  This is how I picture my mind when I tend to think one after the other. Creating this mental clutter like tremors.

When thoughts get so overwhelming, just follow the feeling.  While working on this, I reflected on countless ideas, fears, saadness, and experiences—imagining them as seismic waves traveling through the mind in the colors of blue, teal and gold.  And so, as the mind gets overwhelmed with thoughts, I let the heart take over, choosing to follow the feeling and trust its quiet guidance.

Kristine Legaspi De Jesus

Kristine Legaspi De Jesus

Kristine “Kutz” De Jesus is a Filipina artist, wife, and mother whose creative evolution, which began in 2024, marks a significant departure from her previous two-decade-long corporate career. Known in the digital domain as @whilemykidsaresleeping, Kutz’s foray into intuitive art emerged during the pandemic, sparked by a personal invitation from a friend to share her expressive works. This catalyst led to a pivotal transformation, both personally and professionally, as she shifted from a structured career path to the open, often unpredictable space of full-time artistry.

Her Story

Before diving into the world of art, she spent nearly two decades in the corporate scene, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University and a professional license as a CPA. After weaving through multinational companies and the intricacies of finance, project management, service and operations management, a deep desire for creative expression led her to switch gears and pursue a career in art.

Her debut in the gallery world occurred in January 2024, with a contribution to Art Anton’s Fractals group show, a moment that positioned her work within broader artistic discourse. This initial exhibition marked the beginning of a productive and transformative year, which saw Kutz participate in four additional group exhibitions and showcase her work at significant art events such as the Xavier Artfest and The Manila Bang Show. Her first solo exhibition in September 2024 followed by her second solo on January 2025 further solidified her place within the contemporary art scene. Kutz’s practice is defined by its deeply intuitive nature, wherein emotion, spontaneity, and personal experience converge. The works embody a delicate balance between self-expression and the desire to explore the universal dimensions of freedom, identity, and vulnerability.

Her Art

Her work remains a profound interrogation of the tensions between the personal and the universal, offering viewers a compelling space for reflection on the fluidity of identity and the multifaceted roles of artist, wife, and mother. Through this ongoing exploration, Kutz’s art challenges the boundaries of conventional expression, inviting both intellectual engagement and visceral response to the dynamic and transformative power of the creative process.

Beyond a creative outlet, art has become her meditation—a space to find focus and reconnect with herself on a deeper level.  A medium through which focus is found, and self-reconnection on a profound level is attained.  Her story is one of transformation, transitioning from corporate presentations to crafting tales of emotions through her artistic endeavors, with colors that bring joy to those who experience her work.
