Nami Art Gallery invites you to exhibit โ€œ๐•พ๐–†๐–ˆ๐–—๐–Š๐–‰ ๐–‹๐–—๐–†๐–Œ๐–’๐–Š๐–“๐–™๐–˜โ€
For ๐—ข๐—บ๐—ถ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜€, art has never been merely an act of creation-it has always been a form of prayer, an offering, and a means of navigating the intangible. In this, his ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ผ ๐—˜๐˜…๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป in a prolific ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฏ-๐˜†๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜€ represents โ€œ๐•พ๐–†๐–ˆ๐–—๐–Š๐–‰ ๐–‹๐–—๐–†๐–Œ๐–’๐–Š๐–“๐–™๐–˜.โ€ A body of work that serves as both a culmination and a transformation of his artistic and spiritual journey.
The exhibition finds its roots in his ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ, "๐…๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Œ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ" (2019), a time when ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜€ found himself straddling the demands of personal artistry and public responsibility. As ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฝ, he was tasked with the delicate role of guiding fellow artists while maintaining the sanctity of his own creative voice. The weight of leadership inevitably fractured his focus, pulling him between the introspective solitude of an artist and the communal obligations of a leader. "๐•พ๐–†๐–ˆ๐–—๐–Š๐–‰ ๐–‹๐–—๐–†๐–Œ๐–’๐–Š๐–“๐–™๐–˜" gathers these broken pieces, reassembling them into a renewed visionโ€”one where faith and art are no longer separate forces, but one and the same.

In this collection, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜€ once again employs his signature materialsโ€”๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ, ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป, ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐˜€, interwoven with found objects, each bearing the weight of memory and time. The works are deeply evocative: "Keeper of the Word," a solemn depiction of a woman holding the Bible; "The Divine Embrace," a tender rendering of mother and child; and "The Betrayal and Arrest," in which Christ, bound in chains, confronts his fate. Another striking piece, "Trinitarian," presents three versions of Christ seated side by side, an exploration of divinity and human suffering. But perhaps the most poignant work is a personal oneโ€”"A Quiet Keep," an urn created
for himself, a meditation on mortality and the soulโ€™s journey beyond the physical.

At first glance, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜€โ€™ works may appear overtly religious, but they are, in essence, an unfiltered expression of his spirituality. Faith is not merely depictedโ€”it is embedded in every stroke, every texture, every assemblage of material. Were he to strip his art of this spiritual dimension, it would cease to be a vocation and become a mere task, devoid of its profound resonance.

Through "๐•พ๐–†๐–ˆ๐–—๐–Š๐–‰ ๐–‹๐–—๐–†๐–Œ๐–’๐–Š๐–“๐–™๐–˜.," Omi Reyes reaffirms that faith is not static, nor is it confined to tradition. It is a living, breathing forceโ€”one that evolves, much like the artist himself, with every fragment he gathers and reimagines into something whole.
