Collection: Roger "Rishab" Tibon
Roger "Rishab" Tibon is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist known for his painting, installation art, performance art, poetry, Filipino martial arts, and occasional filmmaking. Before committing to a full-time career in visual arts in the early 1990s, he worked as a freelance graphic designer/artist and later served as an art director in several advertising agencies.
Rishab, the name he signs on his paintings, was born in Aklan, Philippines, in June 1960. He spent most of his early life in Manila before relocating to Baguio City in the 1990s, where he currently resides and maintains a studio.
Rishab has held ten solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows both locally and internationally. In 2011, he had a solo exhibition in Korea, and in early 2012, he was the only Filipino artist invited to the Art Revolution Taipei, where his work was well-received by the Taiwanese art market and enthusiasts.
Throughout his career, Rishab has received numerous awards from painting competitions and has been selected for various art biennales, residency programs, and international art fairs. He is a member of the Art Association of the Philippines and the Baguio Writers Group, and he currently serves as an international coordinator for the Yatoo - Korean Nature Art Group.
