Collection: Nilo Badajos

I serve God through my work, and I fee an unexplainable joy whenever I paint. I do not need inspiration at all." These are the words of Nilo Badajos, an accomplished painter who grew up in Hagonoy. Indeed one looks at his paintings and sees God's creation captured ir wonderful evocative portraits.

His 2015 anguage of Flowers solo exhibit showcased the beauty of flowers in vibrant hues rendered through bolo brushstrokes and the effective use of light and shadow. He counts among the major influences in his art some of the most famous artists ike Romulo Galicano (who trained im). Sofronio Ylanan Mendoza SYM). and Teofilo Villanueva. He is eternally grateful to these great artists who, like him, went through immense struggles to establish themselves as artists
Nilo's life experiences have solidified his most important guiding principles--never stop practicing, be open to heed advice from fellow artists, and always aim for originality and integrity.
