Collection: Maya Rubio

𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗼 was born in Paete, Laguna. Since she was a child she knew she wanted to be an artist.

She studied Fashion Design at SoFa Design Institute. She previously worked as a designer for Carl Jan Cruz

Through her use of mixed fabrics, embroidery, beading, and patchworks. Maya shows different combinations of threads and materials. A playful experiment of craftsmanship.

The materials she used is an assortment of fabrics. Through her materials she is able to conjure a variety of images and textures. Maya’s process includes a lot of material and textile introspection.
