Collection: Marie Ann Paredes
Marie Ann Gran-Paredes (also known as Ann Paredes) is a Filipino visual artist with a background in advertising and fine arts. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Advertising, from the College of the Holy Spirit Manila.
Her professional journey began in animation and later expanded into digital arts through web and graphic design. During the pandemic, she became part of a group of artists, an experience that marked the beginning of her painting journey and her deeper exploration.
Working primarily with acrylics, her works feature a blend of contemporary stylization with a consistent visual language inspired by nature - particularly trees and floral elements. Circles serve as a dominant motif, symbolizing continuity, harmony, and unity; which imbeu her pieces with a sense o resonance.
Recently, she has been venturing into pop art, embracing her playful and colorful side of creativity. Her bright, fun, and childlike pieces are inspired by the simple joys of life. A reminder that every person has that part of themselves that loves to play, imagine and look back with warmth at their own innocence. She believes that every person carries a part of their childhood, a place where joy, wonder, and connection can always be revisited.
Through her art, she hopes to inspire others to discover joy, beauty, peace and purpose.
