Collection: Jovito Andres

A Fine Arts graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas, Jovito Andres’ works on traditional Filipino games were featured in the 2007 desk calendar of the pharmaceutical company, Merial Philippines.

A native of Angono, Rizal, he joined the Angono Ateliers Association in 1987 and still an active member up to the present. He has six solo exhibits since 1994 and has joined several group shows locally and internationally.

His paintings are mostly representation of loving, nurturing Filipino families in native settings; a mother and child resting on a ‘banig’ or hammock; and the merriment of children playing traditional Filipino games.
