Jess was born and raise in the town of Samboan,Cebu.Before engaging in painting,he spend most of his time honing his love for music.In 2006 he tried joning in an on the spot painting contest organized by Cebu Artist Incorporated in Samboan, Cebu and judged as grand prize winner of the

competition,Jess was deeply in couraged to ship his interest into painting,there by deciding to nurture his art in the City of Cebu.in the following year,humble and very dedicated to his artistic talent.Jess was invited to be a member of Cebu Artist Incorporated where he found more inspiration and encoragement from his fellow painters.

After a years of nurturing his art, Jess never ceases to hone his craft joining as many art exhibit under the iniative of Cebu Artist Incorporated,and in cooperation with his peers,he embarked on gaining national exposures by putting up exhibits and participating in National Art   

Competition.A number of motivating awards that he received were: President Choice Award in the Third GSIS National Watercolor Competition: and Third Honorable Mention in GSIS National Watercolor Exhibition.He understand that to attain his artistic goal,he needs to be consistent,and be more passionate about his substancialartistic search.He believes that art is life and life is art.
