He is a figurative expressionist, he likes to paint simple life highlighting the rich culture of the country. He began painting with subjects such as taho vendors, jeepneys, tricycles, mother-in-child, harvest, and fishermen to name a few. He has a knack for interpreting his subjects comically, his strengths however are in the combinations of bright-colored paintings. In effect, the person looking at the painting would feel at ease, and happy, or would remember a point in their lives that at one point they saw the image before.
