Collection: Elmo Modelo
Ennsar Luis J. Modelo, or Elmo as he is fondly called, now a resident of Bulacan, grew up till he was about 3 in Baguio before moving to his mother's province. He learned to appreciate the arts when his parents introduced him to this thriving community of artists, musicians, and performers. At this very early age of three, his parents realized that there is something to this kid's potential as an artist. It was observed by his mom that Elmo, while still mumbling his words, was able to memorize and recognize colors and their names accurately, aside from his daily doodling on his sketch toy tinkering on random subjects. Elmo today is still at the very early stage of his artistic journey. Cradled and trained by Baguio's finest talents and the most conducive environment for budding artists, while keeping positive and hopeful, as his parents reflect -- he is on the right track. This young boy worked on different mediums-- he paints, sculpts, and did a mixed media artwork made of junk and trash. All were made possible by the internet and workshops he attends all over. He already was given accolades on his works in school, now in his second grade in elementary and joined 18 times in group exhibits with Masters, multi-awarded artists, and fellow budding artists, being the youngest exhibitor starting at the age of 6.
