Collection: Cylan

Passionate in art since her childhood days, Cylan left college to pursue her first love - Painting. For her, art has a therapeutic effect since this relieves her sad moods and eases stress when she paints. Her artistic immersions started when she worked as a part time artist while working as a Lesson Developer. This even increased her urge to paint, until she made it her full-time activity and career. Cylan has been active both in the local and national art scene by joining numerous group exhibits.

Cylan started painting with acrylics until she finally incorporated embroidery and yarns in her creations. Tracing her parental lineage, Cylan comes from the Tuwali tribe of lfugao and the Ibalois of Benguet. This ethnic influence is very much evident in her works, with a surrealist touch as an effect of the flowing yarn strands. For her, experimentations with other materials and mediums excites and inspires her to create more.
