Product Description

Camille Jean Verdelaire D. Dela Rosa was born on the 29th of July, 1982. She is the daughter of the late noted painter and art educator, Ibarra Y. Dela Rosa and Ethel Dimacuha an Art History professor. Her father did not teach her how to paint. Upon his demise in 1998, Camille decided to become a painter. In 1998, she mounted her first solo exhibition at the age of 16 where her mother was integral in her formation as an artist.

As a young self-taught artist, she slowly departed from her father's noted style, moving from impressionism to morbid surrealism where she won in art competitions such as: Honorable Mention at Art Association of the Philippines Competition (2005); Top 40 Philippine Art Awards (2009); 2nd place at Pagalingan Pinay Art Competition (2009).

In 2017, Camille's steam punk painting became the official CD & DVD album cover of the international rock band Sepultura's "Machine Messiah" Her work was also included in Phantastische Venus 2015 (Viechtach, Germany) Featuring 70 Surrealism Female Artists Around the World.

Currently, she has 23 solo exhibitions. She also participated in different group exhibits held in Paris, Belgium, Germany, London and Holland.
