Ric Gerand Dean is a contemporary realistic and abstract painter who lives and works in Morong Rizal, Philippines. Born on November 25, 1963. His artistic inclination were seen even in his elementary and high school day when he won Grand Price during "On the Spot" painting contest in Angono and Taytay. At the age of 19, he also won again a Grand Prize at University of Rizal System. Being an artist is in the blood, his father Ricardo Dean is also an illustrator and portrait painter for DepEd for about 18 years.

Dean's colorful paintings [ay homage to his homeland, his personal style gives joy and peace capturing vibrant spirit of nature, landscapes, flowers, farm life and Koi fishes. All are brought to life the moment he becomes the story teller of nature. As he holds his paint brush, he is on his visual journey to the beauty of God's creation.
