R2 is a self-taught artist, an international hairdresser who's currently the Vice President of Asia of AHA (Asia Hairdresser Association Shanghai). A trained actor and performer (a scholar of the Actors Workshop Foundation 96’-97’) he married art, theater, and hair in his past Hair shows.His love for visual arts traced its roots to his hometown of Angono. He expresses his art in different forms and even got into street photography (using his mobile phone). His work (3 photos, collectively titled Preservation of Human Dignity) was selected to be part of the "Mosaicografia 2016" with the theme"Preservation", and was presented in public on November 9–20, 2016 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.He always finds an avenue to articulate his creativity and has participated in a 3 man show and numerous group art exhibits since 2018.Inspiration flows from his travels , life experiences and faith.His art combines the use of brushes and palette knives as he renders his passion and soul on the canvas and believes that “You cannot spell heart without art”.
