Dino studied Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas and was born in Angono, Rizal. Influenced by the artist’s family on both the mother and father’s sides. He began developing his artistic skills at the age of six by drawing religious motifs as key subjects.
His love grew as he competed in various competitions as a child and won several awards. He also studied interior design at the Philippine School of Interior Design in Makati City as part of his studies. He began his career as an in-house interior designer in a prestigious company before becoming a design consultant.
Nicanor Juban Blanco Jr., or Dino Blanco as his pen name on his paintings, has inspired generations of post-impressionist artists with his distinctive way of constructing forms saturated with dark dramatic hues and performed with expressive palette knife strokes and very striking tonal contrast.
His favorite subjects--depict the various sources of livelihood that might be envisioned in outdoor living. He has formed regional art groups and participated in various group shows across the country.
