Julius Villarete

Julius Villarete completed his studies in Industrial Engineering at Bulacan State University and skillfully incorporates the techniques he learned into his own unique artistic style. Through his artwork, he aims to challenge viewers' perceptions of often overlooked living things.

As an artist, Villarete seeks to convey the uplifting and positive aspects of life's simple elements by urging people to take a closer look. His color choices are guided by his emotions, and he paints with the intention of expressing himself directly on the canvas. Despite being relatively new to the art scene, Julius' experiences collaborating with various galleries motivated him to pursue his passion as a lifestyle.

In our fast-paced world, we often overlook the abundant natural beauty that surrounds us. Julius endeavors to remind viewers that beauty and mystery can be found everywhere if we only pay attention. He greatly admires Juvenal Sanso's artistic style, which employs lyrical lines, captivating colors, patterns, and strokes to transform everyday realities, such as floral arrangements, landscapes, and skies, into intriguing works of art.

Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers serves as a significant inspiration for Julius. This series of seemingly simple still-life paintings demonstrates that solace and fascination can be found by closely observing the intricate details, exploring the possibilities of color, and experimenting with brushstrokes.
